Tower industry veteran, Udhay Mathialagan appointed as CEO of Tarantula
Singapore – April 28, 2014 - Tarantula today announced that Udhay Mathialagan has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. He will take over this responsibility from Ravi Kuppan, founder of Tarantula, who will continue to lead and drive innovation and sales as Director, Global Sales.
The change in leadership was announced at the Focus 2014 event, which was scheduled to launch the new financial year and recognise achievements of company employees over the past year. Speaking at the event, Udhay and Ravi shared their vision of the company’s growth. They spoke about Tarantula’s continuing growth in new international markets and the need for the management team to undergo changes in order to prepare the company for the next stage of growth.
Udhay Mathialagan joined the Tarantula management team as Executive Chairman, bringing with him over 15 years of direct experience in expanding tower businesses and advising tower companies in multiple geographies.
Ravi Kuppan, Tarantula founder, has been deeply involved in every aspect of its product development starting from its conception in 1998 and driven the company evolution using his decade-long experience with the UK telecom industry as well as his interaction with multiple telecom operators and service providers across the world.
The Tarantula product portfolio is rapidly evolving to increase the analytical value and business intelligence being offered to its customers. As the company gets ready to take on new challenges, the leadership team has been restructured to leverage the combination of industry experience brought by Udhay and Felix Chan (CFO) with the technology innovation and sales drive from Ravi and Vaibhav Kulkarni, CTO.
