Tarantula announces change in leadership

Singapore – October 16, 2017 – Tarantula today announced that Mats Ekelund has been appointed as the CEO of Tarantula, effective immediately. He will take on this role in addition to his existing role as CEO at Netadmin Systems, which is also a part of Volaris Group.

Udhay Mathialagan, Tarantula’s exiting CEO, said, “It has been a great pleasure to lead Tarantula through an exciting phase of product development, growth, and global expansion over the last four years. I am pleased to have found a stable, long-term owner for the business and to hand over the reins to Mats, a seasoned leader in the software industry. With his strong market development and leadership skills, the company will be able to further expand its position.”

Mats brings more than 25 years of experience delivering business-critical IT solutions to midsized and large corporations in Europe and North America. He and his team have secured Netadmin’s position as the market leader in Northern Europe within BSS/OSS software for fibre operators and establishing a true product company, by developing the products in close cooperation with existing customers. He has previously held senior management roles at global organizations including Sogeti (Capgemini), Scala Business Solutions (Epicor), and Powel.
